Youth.....(and boys)

So. Best things first (sorry Peter)...

Boys. They're so cute... ahhhh
Yes. Hannah has discovered that she develops crushes quickly and they never want to leave.
I also know (I realized this a long time ago) that I am a terrible person to meet. I am so flustered (yes, that's right), that I forget my name, the date, and anything else that may be important at the time.

Back to YouthGroup.
So it was pretty sweet. I wish Katie hadn't ignored me all night though. It was fun running around and meeting everyone. I'm terrible at meeting new people, because I am a hider. I hide when I see people yet am desperatly wanting to escape and meet them. Argh. I met a bunch of kids though, it was a ball of fun.
The message tonight was a really good one. It was also one of the main themes at Camp Medley last summer. Peter said (or implied, I can't remember his exact words):
God knows that you have thoughts and plans and images in your mind that do not please him. You know that you have these things too. If you truly want to be a Christian and be saved, you should want to rid your mind of these thoughts too. Memory Verses are really important in Christian living. If you know what God wants from you in certain situations before these situations arrive, you can prepare. You can do what God wants you to do. If these verses fill your heart and your mind and your soul, bad thoughts have no room to rest. They struggle for a place in your mind, but if you concentrate on NOT concentrating on them, that makes it worse. God has to be in your heart, so that you don't even have to think about it. If God is truly in you, he will take a stand and protect you from this polluted world. He can, and he will, all you must do is ask.

"If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer." (Matthew 21:22)
"For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened." (Matthew 7:8)
[Both NIV]

Well, I may go do devotions and post some of my thoughts on here later.

Love and Peace
Hannah
